BEGINNER’S TANGO CLASSES
ABOUT THIS COURSE
This course is intended for couples who have never danced tango before. The classes combine explanations with follow along exercises which can be done in a small space. It is recommended that these classes be paired with Men’s Technique and Women’s Technique.

This class covers: a very typical figure of tango argentino, the basic step in parallel system.

Class 1
This class covers: Change of weight, side steps, tango walking and “la cunita”, an element you can use to change directions.
Class 2
This class covers: Review of the first class, time and double time, parallel and cross system, basic step in cross system, the pivot and an introduction to the “ochos“.
Class 3
This class covers: “ochos” backward and forward in combination with the basic step in cross system. Ochos back in a diagonal and also starting from the walking.
